Gift for Rachel on her First Holy Communion ceremony

20 Nov 2011 was my niece, Rachel received her first communion. First Communion is considered one of the holiest and most important occasions in a Roman Catholic's life. It means that person has received the Sacrament of the Eucharist, the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Most Catholic children receive their First Communion when they're seven or eight years of age because this is considered the age of reason.

To remember this special day, I have prepared a gift for Rachel - a little bag with cross design and bible wordings. Simple and yet unique because it is hand make by me :)

Earlier I was thinking what should I give as gift. Perhaps, a Rosary or prayer book, but not sure if it is too personal, or whether she already have those from her parents. After having much thought, I decided to make so something that she could use it everyday in school. Hence, I sewed a little bag for her with the cross design and bible wordings.

I started the project late and thank God that I could finish stitching in just 1 day and barely in time sew it into bag on the very same day, an hour before lunch gathering. Really 'Hot' from the 'sewing machine'.

On the next day, when I was driving back home, I saw this beautiful sky in front of me. So mystery. The reflection of heavy cloud beneath under the sun as it going down projected a path in the sky. God creations, amazing!

Goose... flowers, fruits from my garden

This design was taken from 'Mini Scriptures' from Praying Hands. Bought this since 2002. This is the first project from this book after keeping it for 10 years.

As usual, I will have to do some changes to the design to fit into my little frame. Here is what I have removed; the yellow sun (somehow it looks weired that the yellow sun seems appeared from nowhere). 2 flowers that hold by the goose. Backstitch from bunch of flowers that hold up in the little girl apron.

Cut out the red border, and finished with my little frame. Another project of goose design.

Cross stitch is my therapy tool when I feel stressed and depressed. Every stitch i made, it lighten up my emotion stress. Besides cross stitching, I love gardening. It always nice to see flowers blooming and able to harvest fruits from my own garden. They are all 100% organic.

Rare wild orchid in my garden. The first time when I saw this plant (it was just leave without flower) in the nursery, it did not impressed me at all. However, the gardener told me that this is not a common plant, it was brought all the way deep in the rain forest from East Malaysia and it bloom only once in a year. After having it for 2 1/2 years... finally it blooms. See the beautiful pink and purple little flowers sit between the pink patels, how gorgeous...2nd picture was taken a week later from the 1st picture.

My first passion fruit. I wonder how it is going to taste like, would it be sour or sweet...

The original design was cater for Christmas, however I slightly changed part of the design so it fit for all seasons.

Rooster - my sceret friend

This design was taken from Cross Stitch Collection Issue 81 Aug 2002, pg 35-36.

Design a house shape border to fit into the design.

Framed it in my 5 X 5 inch of little frame.

Adorable rooster. Chinese Horoscope believe, person who born in year of Rooster has a flamboyant personality, feisty and obstinate. Outwardly confident, the Rooster is also a trustworthy, hardworking individual.

And for me, born in year of Dragon, in Chinese Horoscope, Rooster is Dragon's best friend. By having figure of Roosters, it would enhance Dragon's luck. Believe it or not? :)

After searching in every bookshops, magazine store in the town, out of KL from north to south, called Kinokuniya in Singapore, checking in every website... until to the magazine distributor... followed up week after week and finally... tang tang... I GOT IT, with the original price, not 1 cent extra I paid.

My kids are happy for me too...

Now, it has become my daughter book. She is asking for it every nights. Love it.

Panda - symbol of peace

This design was taken from D&C Oriental Odyssey.

In order to fit the design into the ready frame, I have to change the design slightly from rectangle to square. To make the Panda stand out, I decided to remove all the background, leaving only 2 bamboos that holds by Panda and added the word 'Peace' (pronounce as Aun in Mandarin). See the difference in the picture below.

The reason I chose Panda and the word 'Peace' because Pandas gives me a feeling of cute and cuddling in appearance yet they are very strong. Chinese describes Panda as an invincible animal, as strong as a tiger. Panda thought to be a gentle animal, as it was never observed to hurt man or beast. To this day, Panda continue to be a symbol of peace. Guess what, Aun was also my father last name... stitched the word Aun in the memories of him.

Coming up project, feathered friends.

I have not tried any design like ducks, ducklings, roosters, chicks, hen, goose, or any farm animals. So far, all I stitch is bears, dogs, flowers, baby and children designs. But after I met Micky, saw some of her projects... especially the 'Apple Orchard'... it amazing.

From there onwards, I am so obsessed with goose, and rooster. Here you go... my first feathered friends; a pair of geese.

This design was taken from Sue Cook's Bumper Cross Stitch Collection.
I extracted part of 'April' chart, readjusted the fence position, and colours to fit into my frame size,

.. there is another part of the story for the photo frame...

When to Cash Converter last week and got some nice wooden frames... Surprisingly I found 15cm X 15cm wooden frame with glass frame not 1 but 4 for only RM5. Without hesitation, I bought all of them. Happily I have 12 wonderful wooded frame going home that day for only RM15. Amazing...

Another Birth Sampler with DIY frame

Finished this design for quite some time ago. However, did not managed to frame it, until last week went to Ikea, and found this lovely frame. Coincidentally, the design fit into the frame perfectly.

After framed, I looked at the wooden frame for quite a while... hmm... its purely white. I was contemplating whether to keep it white, and should I put some colour on it.... And somehow, I unconsciously started painting on the frame using cotton buds.

First I started with red flowers, then a blue sky. Next sun ray and birds in the blue sky.

A bird house, kites, red button mushroom and rocks...

May: Eelaine, nowadays it is quite hard to find a shop that selling Anchor threads. You might want to try Craft World in SS2. If worst come to worst, you probably want to drive up to Penang to visit Rewon Cottage. But before you go, give them a call and check if they do have Anchor threads in the shop : 04-3975055.

In my personal opinion, i do not suggest mixing of DMC and Anchor in one design.. it just looks funny. Anyone would like to comment/share your experience?

How much is DMC thread - Part 1

25 years back when I started cross stitching in 1980's, DMC thread was only sold at 65cents each. And today, unbelievable the price has raised to RM1.20 each. I am sure, it is tough for some to spend that amount of money just for a thread. Easily you will need more than RM20 worth of threads just for a mini project.

I remember there was quite a wide range of thread selling in Malaysia in the past. As you can see, I have collection of Anchor, Cosmo, Minlon (local brand) and of course DMC thread. But now, I hardly see any shop selling Anchor and Cosmo threads. I guess the demand for Anchor and Cosmo are lesser if compared to DMC. Mostly the charts and patterns are now designed with DMC threads.

In the picture, you can see the price tag of DMC thread showing RM1.10, and that was last year old stock. I wonder how much is DMC thread selling outside Klang Valley.

Metallic threads cost around RM3.90-RM7.90 and could be higher as I bought these many years back.

Coming to year end, it is time to collect more books J Hooray… RM1000 income tax relief for books and magazines. Hehe, nothing other than Cross Stitch books and magazines for me.

Whenever I buy Cross Stitch books/magazines, my son will definitely asked "Mummy, are you sure you want to buy this book? I don't think you have time to stitch all these…". Yes, he got it right. I really can't find time to stitch. I am a Fulltime worker and housewife. Day in day out, same routine. Work has never end, and house is always messy with toys everywhere. Dirty dishes and clothes waiting for me… Sigh, 24 hours a day is just too little. But no matter what, nothing can stop me from buying Cross Stitch books/magazines when I see them. I just can't resist, even though I have tons of Cross Stitch books/magazines line up and waiting for me to flip in my bookshelves.

Went PayLess Book warehouse sales and Amcorp Mall last week… hoohoo. Here you go…

It seems that it is not easy to find or buy Cross Stitch material in East Malaysia. It is sad to hear that Cross Stitch lovers from Sabah and Sarawak has difficulty to buy or shop for Cross Stitch stuffs locally.

House warming gift for Auntie Marie

Went to Auntie Marie house warming party last weekend at Jalan 22/2 PJ. Spent almost 1/2 hour just to search for the house, despite we reached the Taman much early. Even with the GPS guide, it took us 1 hour to reach her house. Sigh, too many obstacles.

I remember when my husband informed me that Auntie Marie invite us to her house warming party, the first question came to my mind was 'What to give to Auntie Marie as the house warming gift?' Should I give electrical goods, bouquet of flowers, fruits basket, tea or cattery set? Hmmm... So my husband suggest, why not give something like hand craft or cross stitching if I can make her one.

Indeed, Auntie Marie loves my gift so much. She proudly announced that this is the best gift she ever received because '...it can't value with money!'

My 20 years old string back bag

This is one of my favourites string back bag that I have made back in 1990. That was 20 years ago, time flies. In 1990, I was studied in Standard 6 (12 years old), sitting for my UPSR exam. Living in the small town of Perak - Teluk Intan, I cycle to school every day. My school is just 2km from my house. Hah… I miss those days.
At age of 12, I have learnt to use sewing machine (very old model machine). All my school bags, tuition bags, art class bags were handmade. My parents have never bought a school bag for me before in my entire schooling from Primary to Secondary and High School.

I am so proud of my mom’s handmade bags. I wish I could have captured all my school bags in photo at that time. But back in 90’s especially in my hometown, not many people can effort to buy camera. If the person owns a camera, the person would consider as ‘rich’ man.

These photos were taken in year 2008. The bag is still in good condition after 18 years. See the DMC floss, the colour remain unchanged. I try to find the charts recently but I can’t remember where I kept it. I guess I might have lost it after so many years. I recall this book came with many different designs/charts of a pair of little boy and girl. I remember one of the charts (besides this one) is a little boy holds an umbrella with a little girl looking at the rainbow.

I am searching for this book/these charts. Does anyone know how/where I can buy the same book/charts? Appreciate if you can drop me an email/write at my blog comment if you have the details of the book/charts that I have described. I keep my fingers crossed.

Double Happiness Chart

This is another design from me ‘Double Happiness’. This chart is suitable for those who are getting married or a gift to bride/groom. Alternately, you can also stitch this as wedding sampler. What you need to do is just stitch the couple name, date of marriage below the ‘Double Happiness’ chart. Tang tang, an Oriental Wedding Sampler :)

You can either stitch in Red, Gold or Silver, other colours are less preferred. However, if you love to stitch using Black floss, I would suggest you choose Red fabric as the background.

For those who maybe new, and wish to know more about ‘Double Happiness’, I have a simple write up below to share.

Double Happiness (shuāng xǐ) a.k.a. Double Joy is commonly used as a decoration associated with Chinese wedding ceremony. The symbol of ‘Double Happiness’ is something that cannot be missed during a Chinese wedding- whether it may be a traditional one or the modern wedding ceremony. It is also means that the bride-to-be and the groom-to-be will now be united/’together’.

You will often find this special character appears all over the wedding ceremony – invitation cards, guest book, red packets/envelopes, wedding cake, gifts to bride and groom, on every walls/doors, pillows, lanterns, tea sets, at the wedding venues – the couple house, the couple parent house, and restaurant. The colour of the character is commonly red; however you may find some in gold or silver.

Stitch or No Stitch

I have not been blogging for quite sometime nor stitching for the past 6 months. I was so tied up with work (new role). I have to pick up new knowledge whist taking over the new tasks very quickly.

On the other hand, I was very unlucky that I had hopitalised for almost 2 weeks due to pneumonia. Having pneumonia was not something fun. I guess from now on, a very little flu or cough; I will not take it easy. There was one day when I saw my phlegm was covered with fresh blood; I thought I am soon dying of pneumonia. So I desperately asked my husband to bring me Bible and blank papers the next day for me to write my last message to my mother, and my children. Hahah… I am still laughing about it.

Another major reason why I have completely ignored my cross stitch for months, it is because I spent most of my time (which I normally reserve for cross stitching) on Facebook. I was so addicted with the Farm Valley, and Farm Town games, and I have spent almost 2 hours and more just to ‘harvesting’ and ‘seeding’ my farm. Sometimes I even woke up in the middle of the night to see if the ‘plants’, ‘cows’, ‘chickens’ were ready to ‘collect’. Silly me. I think it is time to put a stop on Facebook. I felt so guilty of wasting my valuable time on virtual farming. So, no more Facebook for me!!

When I visit my blog yesterday, I saw a few chat messages were left in my chat box and I feel so sorry for not responding in time. Particular to this message that I have received from [Guest]

[Guest] Hi, just wondering whether you continued stitching when you were in your pregnancy? Did you get any advice against doing so?

My answer to Guest:
Honestly speaking, I have never stopped stitching even when I was pregnant (twice). In fact, I stitch more than usual (almost every day) during my pregnancy. My kids were born perfectly healthy. One golden rule which I always practice - never do any stitching on bed.

I understand where you are coming from. I do get comments from ‘old’ people (senior) discourage me from doing needle works during pregnancy. Luckily, I have a very supportive mother, and husband. So whether or not to stop stitching when pregnant, it is up to the individual.

Guest, if you ever have doubt/worry or if any of your family member against it, my advice to you is, let’s ‘take a break’.
When something went ‘wrong’, people around you will just point their finger at you and blame on your action. No one will pity you, or come foward to help.

Let me share with a true story that happened to my aunty when she was pregnant. This not necessary happen to everyone, so please do not take this personally.

Basically, my aunty just did a simple patching on her torn blanket while sitting on her bed in the bedroom when she was pregnant. With her simple mind, she thought everything should be fine, it was just a few stitches. Who knows, on the delivery day, she was shocked to see her newborn with the deform forehead.

It looks like a stitching had performed on the new born while the baby still in my aunt’s womb. No doctors dare to perform operation on the baby, and she has no one to turn to. Finally, she went to temple to seek for help. The so called ‘deity’ told her what had caused the baby head deform, and ‘he’ commanded my aunty to unstitch all the blankets, clothes that she has done when she was pregnant. Guess what, as she unstitched the blanket and clothes, my cousin forehead slowly ‘unfold’ to normal.

I do not what you call that, miracle? Scary?

Again, it is up to the individual whether or not (can or can not) do stitching during pregnancy. I guess there is no definite answer.

A good bargain at Amcorp Mall flea market

Yesterday was a good shopping bargain experience at Amcorp Mall weekend flea market. I am so happy that I managed to grab 2 Cross Stitch magazines - past issues for only RM9.90 each (approximately USD2.5 each), Crafting Cross Stitch Cards by Sue Cook for only RM29.90. Normally, this type of books selling at RM100 or above in bookstore. You won't believe that the book is 100% brand new, what more it binded with hard cover.

It was a bright sunny day. When we reached Amcorp Mall, it was almost noon, and the car parks were full. We took quite sometimes looking for a car park and finally we found one at the end of the lots. As we entering the mall, we saw the crowd, stalls, line up from the front of the entrance to the mall, floor after floor.

I was so excited and quietly told my husband that "I am going to ‘scan’ each and every stalls without missed, else I won’t leave the mall" :) I guess my luck was so good on that day. Not only books and magazines, I also found this little DIY Cross Stitch box that come with bear chart, floss, and a heart shape transparent box, selling for RM20 only. Wow... without any hesitation, I bought all the designs!

You can find all kinds of things like cloths, hand bags, toys, 2nd hand books, pastries, plants, accessories, electrical goods ‘spare’ parts, art and craft, etc in this flea market. Some selling collection items like jades, antique (vases/bowls/lamps), old stamps, special edition for toys, Audio CDs, and items that had discontinuous from production.

Initially, we thought just go for window shopping, 'look-see, look-see', that's all. But guess what, we ended up ‘shopping’ 3 ½ hours, bought 18 Hotweels cars for Riker, and Seven... finally 'surrender' in my husband arm.

Seven quietly slept in my husband's arm after 3 1/2 hours walk in the flea market. For me, I was too 'occupied' and 'obsessed' with all the Cross Stitch stuffs in my hand. LOL

Free Chart - Prosperity

Prosperity also known as Fu (in Mandarin Language), Fook (in Cantonese Dialect) and Hock (in Hokkien Dialect). Many Chinese believe that by having Fu hanging/displaying in the house is a symbol of bringing success to the family, especially in financial aspects it brings good fortune. Also, Fu is often use during Chinese New Year. You can find many greeting cards, red packets, lanterns, posters, pillow covers, pastry, paper cut, accessories etc. with character Fu.

Some would write or hang the Fu character upside down (reversed). It means "Fu Tao" - good fortune is 'arriving'. As you can see in my previous posting, I have stitched the revered Fu as a gift to my confinement lady.

I will never thought someone would like to have my design, and of course I would glad to share it to anyone who loves to stitch one.

As I am working almost 75% complete on the 'A Row of Love' Dimension Gold kit, I run out of threads that came with Dimension kit. I have no choice to get the closer match from DMC threads.

First thing came to my mind is to search in the Internet and hoping to get site or anyone that could provide a Conversion chart from Dimensions Kit to DMC.

Thank God that I finally found a couple. Thanks to 'The Lotus Pond' be so kind to share her comprehensive Kit Conversions Database. I really appreciate her effort in compiling the conversion through out the years.

Another one from cyberstitchers.com. The online Floss Conversion Charts is so impressive and completely amazing.

A sneak peek of my half way through project - 'A row of Love' from Dimension. I fall in love with this chart when I first saw it on the Internet back in 2001.

My little workspace for cross stitching

Look at the date of the receipt, it was Nov 2001. Wow....a long 8 years I have kept it in the box. And only now I decided to stitch it when I gave birth to my daughter, Seven Si.

2001 was a memorable year for me. It was the year that I

- became a Christian and baptised in Church

- married to my lovely husband and moved into our first new house

- bought my first car and today the car is still with me :) It works perfectly

- got my first job, my first salary

- first time participated in public motor Treasure Hunt, and won lucky draws (hunting only 2 of us - my husband and myself)

Today, I have blessed with 2 beautiful child; 1 boy and 1 girl.

Thank you God for all that I have received from you and most of all, that I know I am never alone, for You are always here beside me, in my heart. And, not forgotten to my husband, thank you.

Busy, busy, busy...

A Birth Sampler using Paper Canvas

As I sat down on the sofa, I saw my art work 'A Birth Sampler' on the shelf. Hah... it was 7 years ago I stitched this for my sister in law when Rachel was born. Time flies by.
Last week I was there to attend my niece, Rachel’s birthday party. That was her 7 years old birthday anniversary. She is a very intelligent girl. You won’t believe she actually sang ‘Poker Face’ by Lady GaGa and dance like Lady GaGa (in MTV) in her age of 7. I was amazed.

Coming back to the Birth Sampler, that was my first project done using Paper Canvas for Cross Stitch. I find it easier to stitch on paper canvas than the cloth type.

I am still keeping one un-touch. The paper canvas is so precious to me because I can't find it in any of the cross stitch shop in Malaysia . Wish I can have more of paper canvas to make Greeting Cards for this coming Christmas.

Rachel is a very creative girl, so I gave her a Batik Painting Kit as present. The kit comes with a brush, 4 bottles of inks (red, blue, black, and yellow), 1 colour palate, and a silk cloth with butterfly pattern drawn using wax. I can't wait to see her finish result.
Update on 7 Sept: Rachel has done her batik painting... tang tang, here is the finish result... so sweet.

I have also introduced batik painting as one of the activities for my company Charity Event in July this year. They enjoyed the batik painting.

Where to shop for Cross Stitch materials (Malaysia)

Some of my cross stitch friends asked why I have not been updating my blog since Jan 09. Reason being...

1. I have just moved into my new house in April, and we finally settle down last month
2. I am too occupied with my little girl - Seven Si :) She is coming to 7 months in this 17 Aug. Hah... she needs lots of attention.

3. My husband and I had just finish organized 4 internal treasure hunt events consecutively in the past three months. Extremely exhausted.

4. I have just recovered from Dengue Fever a month ago. Still feeling the pain in all part of my bone joints.

After all the above, now I finally have myself organized.

Lately I have received few requests asking where to procure Cross Stitch stuffs like DMC floss, fabric, charts, and so on.

As you can read some of the comments in my Chat Space (on the right panel). That’s gave me the inspiration to share this valuable info with all the Cross Stitching lovers out there, especially those who stay in Klang Valley, ‘where to shop for Cross Stitch materials’.

Fook (Fu) Cross Stitch for Valerie Lee, the Confinement Lady

Valerie, my confinement lady whom I engaged from Peiling Confinement Services Center. My experience with Peiling was a nightmare. My husband and I have a big fight with Peiling staff just a day before I am going for Cesarean. We went to the center to check out who is going to be my confinement lady. Guess what, the staff told me that they are not able to tell me whom my confinement lady is and I don't need to know who she is. They told me this is the company 'policy'. Can you believe, as a customer (I am paying RM5000 for the services) I do not have the right to choose who to be my confinement lady nor to even know her name until the day when I pick her up from the center. Gosh!

Blessing in disguise, Valerie, she is hardworking, kind, responsible, quick action. I don't even need to go to kitchen at all. Hah... I am being served like a queen :)

Look, she even potty train my baby at 1 week old.

Without her help, I don't think I can finish my cross stitch (for Dr Ng) within a short 2 weeks, phew...

She loves my cross stitch very much. So I offer to stitch her something. She request for a 'Fook' (Luck), immediately I design my every own pattern and finish it within a week.

Finally, mission accomplished!

Our sweet baby girl was born on 17 01 09. As usual, a 'crazy' Star Trek fan like my husband surely named his children with Star Trek characters name :) My first boy, we named him Riker Si Tee Kirk (named after Commander Riker and Captain Kirk) from Star Trek Next Generation. Obviously, my daughter, will equally have her name named after Star Trek, hah ... Seven Si Janeway (named after Seven of Nine and Captain Janeway in Star Trek Voyager).

If you notice the date of birth; 17 01, the official registration number of Starship NCC1701.

We thank God for this wonderful gift. Of course with the help of my Gynea, Dr Ng Soon Pheng, I have successfully delivered Seven with no complication, though Seven only born on 36 weeks, but she is perfectly healthy.

I was thinking what to give to Dr Ng as a token of appreciation. The first thing came to my mind is Cross Stitch. Ya, why don't I stitch something for Dr Ng. So, right after I discharged from hospital (after 3 days admitted), immediately I start my cross stitch project, and have it finished within 2 weeks.

And so happened it was Dr Ng birthday.

Forever Friends - The Big Day

I am so excited to share with you this first ever Forever Friends chart of mine. The kit comes with a transparent bag, Anchor floss, chart and Aida 14 count.

While I am looking for a flame, I stumble upon a second hand shop - Cash Converter, where they sell many used items including photo frames. I was quite lucky to find one which it only cost me RM5.00.

To complete my project, I use the gift wrapping paper for the finishing touch.

House warming gift for Susan - 28 breeds of dog

It took me nearly 1 year to finish this 28 breeds of dog which I have combined 3 separate charts from Jeremiah Junction into 1 piece- I Love Dogs 1, 2 & 3 into a single piece artwork. It is almost 5ft long!

My initial plan is to have it stitch and hang it in my living hall. But after thought, I think I should give it to someone who loves dog.

When Susan (my sister in law) told us that she is moving to another house, and invite us to visit her in Singapore. Without hesitation, I gave it to her as the house warming gift. I believe she is the most rightful person to have this, because she is an extremist dog lovers.

You would notice spots on her neck, face, and paws. A very intelligent dog.

'Baby Sleeping' Pillow Case

Last night I was packing my room while searching for some old stuff i.e. baby cloths, napkin, etc (hehe… I am preparing for my coming new born) and I found this.

I remember it was 3 years ago, I made this pillow casing for my son, Riker when he was a baby. And now, he is almost 4, this Sept 2008. How time flies!

This morning, before sending Riker to school, I took a photo of the pillow case. He was watching quietly beside me and was curious why I am taking photos of the pillow case. So without any sign, he made a contribution to my photo - his little fingers.

A Birthday Card for my father in law; Paul Si

A simple and yet a special Birthday Card for my father in law.
It took less than 1 hour to finish; my very own design.

I always think that giving a present without a greeting card seem meaningless. No matter what celebration and festival, I will not miss sending greeting card to my husband, my family, and my friends. If time permit, I will definitely do it myself.

A gift for Mother's Day

I make this chart back in year 2004. It was a gift for my mother-in-law on Mother’s Day.

I still remember that my mother-in-law was so happy and grateful when she received the gift from me. She was so proud of me and she repeatedly shown it to all her guests/friends. Though, she has no longer with us… but she is always in my mind.

I miss those days that we share our hobbies together. We do stitching in the same hall, sitting side by side. She loved Cross Stitch, Crochet, Patch Work as much as I do. She was a very capable women. She could stitch, tailor, sew, and cook.

She was a great mom!!

Tiger for a good friend farewell

Martin Farfan (an Argentina guy, beside him is my colleague- Uma) was my mentor, my trusted friend, my counselor when I first joined Shell. We were working closely together in the Software Management / Compliance areas.

For me, I find him simple; a guy that willing to share anything about his personal life, his work principles, and even his lunch. I’ve learned a lot from him especially the way he valued friendship.

Sadly, after a year later, his contract has come to end. He decided to move on his career to Oman.

I remember he told me once during our interview session, that he is passionate about Tiger.

Before he left Malaysia, we had a farewell party. I stitched him a Tiger chart and framed with the Royal Selangor pewter photo frame.

Later I received his call, he told me that he is very grateful, and couldn’t believed that I still remember about the Tiger he told me .... Hah…

Lovely pink dress stitched with an excavator, a cement truck, and a bull dozer

When I knew my niece loves heavy machinery, without hesitation, I stitch an excavator, a cement truck, a bull dozer and embedded on a lovely pink dress. I gave it to her as the Chinese New Year gift.

Later, I found out from my Bro, that she loves the dress so much so that she refuse to take it off. And, she goes to bed with the dress.

Unfortunately, I didn’t managed to take a picture of her with the dress… maybe I will ask my Bro. I will definitely share with you all if there is any.

My latest collection - Wedding Bears

Just got my latest collection from Jeanette Crews - Wedding Bears by Alma Lynne. It is all about wedding. I ordered it through 1-2-3 Stitch.com (USA). Incredibly, the delivery took only 2 weeks.

I am going to stitch this lovely chart - "We became as one" and make it a pouch or a small hand beg.

Will share with you the progress... hopefully I can finish it by June.
